Dates - Medjool

Dates (Phoenix dactylifera) is a plant species in the genus Phoenix, originally from the Middle East and North Africa. It is a slow-growing, tall palm tree that produces small, cylindrical fruits with smooth brown skin that darkens as it ripens. The fruit is significantly smaller than other tropical fruits, with a chewy, sweet, amber-colored flesh and a single seed inside. Weighing 20–30 g, they are rich in vitamins B6 and K, fiber, and antioxidants.
